Capsula
by Luisa Skyring
Project Description
Pharmaceutical pill packaging is a complex group of products in which the main purpose is to protect medication, convey information and safeguard users. Many users of pill packaging are disadvantaged, as they may struggle with hand strength, hand–eye coordination, delicate skin or general strength.
Capsula is a pair of compact products that aim to solve the criteria of accessibility and usability for individuals with hand strength and mobility issues. Capsula addresses the issues of excess waste of current pharmaceutical packaging and portability for users who require regular medication.
The Capsula blister pack is designed to be reused and easily accessed. The modular interlocking lid system allows for an interesting and comfortable access point to medication.
The use of flexible materials such as silicone allows users flexibility and encourages comfort when holding the designs.
The Capsula dispenser is also designed to be reused and is aimed at medication which does not need to be packaged in single dosage form packaging. It allows users to dispense directly into their mouth without the need to handle or lose small pills. The dispenser is designed for convenience.
