Project Description

Rena, named through the translation of ‘purify’ from Swedish, is an air purifier that replaces your coffee table in your living room space. Current air purifiers on the market are all designed as a white cylinder or box which is obtrusive in the aesthetics of a room environment, yet functions best when placed at the centre of the room. Rena solves this issue by hybridising with another object already in the centre of the room, a coffee table, rather than being a standalone device. Thus, it will create a more cohesive and integrated lifestyle improvement device, which engages the user to use it more often as a functional art piece.

Bio

Hi, I’m a product designer passionate about improving my lifestyle with innovative gadgets and niche solutions. This shows in a dislike of utilitarian monoliths in modern homes to improve our standard of living, whether it be a modem for internet access or an air purifier to treat allergies. I focus on designing creative ways to reimagine products and how to interact with them in our daily lives.
