Project Description

ReMaking is a service which enables people to make objects out of their own collected waste — thermoplastic, of which there is an overabundance. It gives customers an experience of making that they will never forget — an experience that will strengthen their bond to the object they have made. ReMaking has been designed specifically with families in mind, to produce the Perennial Vase, a product the whole family will enjoy making and each have partial ownership of. The Perennial Vase, as the name suggests, is intended to be kept and passed down for generations because of the value it holds for its makers. Because of the methods used in its production, it is irreplicable and therefore irreplaceable, and intended to be cherished. As a product-service system, this project aims to contribute to combatting our plastic waste pandemic.
