Sofar One in context

Project Description

The phrase “single-person households” may be familiar to all generations in the current state. With the rising population worldwide, the number of single-person households has jumped to a higher level. Optimising the limited living space can be a significant consideration for future housing trends. In terms of space efficiency and optimisation, Sofar One is designed as a multifunctional modular sofa design for single-person households.

The design aims to build a sofa that can transform the use of space and improve space efficiency — a modular sofa with a wooden frame. The sofa allows users to choose the fabric colour as well as the wood colours. Customers can decide the location of the side table when ordering the product, building their own furniture. The table can be rotated through the left or right side depends on the layout of their rooms. Sofar One participates in designing for small living spaces for one person.
