Project Description

Orthos is a modular sports brace that addresses the need for sports strapping for injury prevention through a modular, customisable design that can be self-applied. Through a critical rethinking of traditional sports braces, Orthos was produced as a single brace that can address most musculoskeletal sports injuries.

Designed to cater for an active lifestyle, Orthos has parallels to the modularity of strapping tape without the accompanying painful and wasteful experience. It utilises four main components to shift or alter its form which allows it to address a plethora of injuries. Recreational athletes purchase multiple sports braces throughout their sporting career at high cost. Orthos is designed to cater for common injuries without needing to be replaced many times.
