FRESH

by Jason Geng

FRESH is a customisable toothbrush that is made from fruit peel.

Project Description

The standard model of non-recyclable plastic toothbrushes is overly-produced. While the green concept is being implemented globally, this standard product causes pollution when discarded to landfill. As a daily necessity, the usual design has no connection to the end user’s mental and emotional status or their sense of environmental responsibility, beyond that of cleaning their own teeth. This toothbrush is made from fruit peel compost, utilising food waste as an alternative for standard plastic models. The toothbrush aims to promote healthy morning routine practices and positive mental health through combining ergonomic design and human sensory science.

Freshener beads can give a stronger fruit mint smell each time users brush their teeth.

User scenario

Users can customise their own combination on the website.
